HIGHLIGHT : COLLABORATING WITH THE WIOMSA
Strengthening interdisciplinary approaches through the first BRIDGES school
Organized in collaboration with the WIOMSA from September 22 to 26, 2025, ahead of the WIOMSA 2025 Symposium, the BRIDGES x WIOMSA school will bring together experts, young researchers and practitioners from the Indian Ocean.
The main scientific issue will be: How can interdisciplinary approaches be implemented to strengthen the social and environmental resilience of marine social-ecological systems exploited by fishing, in the face of growing global pressures?
The BRIDGES research program will take part in the 13th WIOMSA Scientific Symposium. We will host an exhibition booth throughout the symposium – a welcoming space to meet and exchange ideas.
BRIDGES researchers will be present at the exhibition booth, allowing us to engage directly with you on specific topics (fisheries, governance, conservation, social-ecological systems, and more).
