BRIDGES Mission to Mozambique: Meetings, Discussions, and Prospects for Collaboration
From February 27 to March 14, 2026, a BRIDGES team traveled to Mozambique. The mission brought together the Mozambique Institutional Site Committee for the first time and facilitated working meetings with the many actors involved in this study site.

This event marks the conclusion of a series of institutional launches at our study sites, which are part of the collaborative approach championed by BRIDGES.

BRIDGES places local actors at the heart of its research and supports them by studying complex systems and working with them to develop tailored solutions and tools designed specifically for their needs.

Reunion Island: First Meeting of the Scientific and Operational Committee
On February 5, 2026, the first meeting of the Scientific and Operational Committee (CSO) of Reunion Island was held at the University of Reunion. In the afternoon, a scientific seminar open to the public continued the discussions, extending the dialogue to a wider audience.

BRIDGES DAYS
BRIDGES is pleased to invite you to its BRIDGES Days on December 2 and 3, 2026, in Réunion. These two days will be dedicated to showcasing the scientific progress made by the program at each of the BRIDGES sites. Biosketch - Karim Diallo
Karim Diallo: An internship and a PhD thesis within the BRIDGES IMPACT project
During his internship, Karim Diallo examined the impact of conservation policies on the well-being of coastal communities in the southwestern Indian Ocean. In his PhD thesis, he takes this a step further by analyzing the impact of conservation policies on development, using a transdisciplinary approach in close collaboration with local actors.
