The BRIDGES Research Program at the IMCC7
The BRIDGES Research Program will be participating in the IMCC7 Conference in Cape Town next week! We’re thrilled to have an exhibition booth in the main hall throughout the event, where you can connect with us and learn more about our work.
About IMCC: The International Marine Conservation Congress (IMCC) aims to promote science to better conserve our oceans, through informing policy-making and management strategies. The event is one of the world’s largest gatherings of ocean conservationists, bringing more than 800 delegates together, such as scientists, practitioners, students and policy-makers, to address global marine conservation challenges by sharing ideas and work results.
Highlights:
- On Monday, from 8am:
- Adrien Comte, one of our TP6 leader will co-lead with Shauna Mahajan (WWF) a Focus group on “Social-ecological systems transformations as pathways to conservation—a vital discussion on the future of conservation efforts”.
- On Saturday, from 8:30am:
- Rodolphe Devillers, our other TP6 leader will present the SIOMPA (Southwest Indian Ocean Marine Protected Areas) call for project winners. This includes the presentation of the MERMOZ project “Marine Ecological connectivity and conseRvation in the Mozambique Channel”, led by Rodolphe.
