BRIDGES and WIOMSA are pleased to announce that applications are now open for their joint school in 2025! Held in Mombasa ahead of the WIOMSA 2025 Symposium, this school aims to train a new generation of researchers, managers, and practitionners committed to sustainable and just fisheries in the southwestern Indian Ocean.
Over five days, participants will explore concrete tools, case studies, and co-construction methods with regional and international experts around the following question:
How can interdisciplinary approaches be implemented to strengthen the social and environmental resilience of marine social-ecological systems exploited by fishing, in the face of growing global pressures?
